Support Chorus Inspira
Powering 75 Years of Symphonic Choral Excellence in Edmonton
Chorus Inspira is proud of our 75-year legacy and remains committed to presenting the world’s greatest choral symphonic works.
Your donations cover many expenses associated with presenting choral symphonic music. Your gift directly underwrites paying our professional choristers and orchestral musicians; renting rehearsal space; purchasing sheet music; and of course renting top-end venues such as the Winspear.
We allocate a portion of each donation towards our education, outreach and community programming. When you make a gift to Chorus Inspira you are supporting an Edmonton made better through choral music.
We could not pursue this without our loyal and generous community of individuals who make generous personal donations to Chorus Inspira year after year. Please see below for a list of Chorus Inspira’s generous supporters. Their contributions make our work possible.
Planning a Gift Over $500?
Help your donation go 100% to the stage by avoiding credit card processing fees.
For gifts of $500 or more, we kindly encourage donors to contact General Manager, Victoria Medeiros at info@chorusinspira.ca to coordinate your donation.
Employee Matching Gift Program
Some corporations will match the charitable contributions of their employees up to a certain amount. Chorus Inspira gladly accepts and acknowledges these types of donations.
We invite Chorus Inspira choristers and other individuals who are preparing to make a donation to Chorus Inspira to check with their supervisors or HR Managers to see if their company will match their contribution.
Looking to Make a Lasting Impact?
Chorus Inspira has strived over the years to balance lofty artistic goals with fiscal responsibility. As we celebrate our 75th anniversary year, we are working hard to build a legacy of symphonic choral music for future generations.
How can you help us build that legacy?
A Bequest in your Will
Naming Chorus Inspira in your Will ensures that your wish to support the future of choral music is honoured after you pass away. The gift can be a percentage of your estate, a specific dollar amount, or a residual amount.
A Gift of Life Insurance
A gift of a new or existing life insurance policy means you can build a larger legacy than you thought possible and enjoy tax savings as well.
Gifts of Securities
Donating publicly traded securities means you can obtain a tax receipt for the full market value, without paying any capital gains tax.
Donate to the Richard Eaton Singers Endowment Fund (Chorus Inspira) through the Edmonton Community Foundation.
Thanks to many generous donations made over the years the current balance of our Endowment Funds (2024) is approximately $307,000.
Each year Chorus Inspira receives a grant of around 4% on the total in the Endowment Funds. Tax receipts for donations to our Endowment Fund are issued by Edmonton Community Foundation, and receive recognition from Chorus Inspira as above.
